Cookies

Which cookies we use, why, and how to change your choice.

Last updated 7 October 2026

Kort version: Without your consent we set just one cookie, to remember your choice. Google analytics and ad tracking are only used if you say yes.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They can, for example, remember your choices or show how the site is used.

2. The cookies we use

TypeNameUsed forKept for
Necessaryskale_consentRemembers your cookie choice.12 months
Analytics (Google Analytics)_ga, _ga_Tells visits apart so we can see how the site is used.2 years
Marketing (Google Ads)_gcl_au, _gcl_awMeasures whether an ad led to an enquiry. _gcl_aw is only set when you arrive via an ad.90 days
Marketing (Skale)skale_annonsklickStores the ID from an ad click (gclid, gbraid or wbraid), so an enquiry can be linked to the ad it came from.90 days

Without your consent, skale.se sets only skale_consent, and nothing is loaded from Google. Google Tag Manager, which loads Google’s analytics and ad tracking, is only fetched once you’ve said yes, and cookies are set only for what you’ve agreed to. skale_annonsklick is set only with consent to marketing. We do not use Meta Pixel.

3. Other things stored in your browser

  • skale-sok-senaste: your recent searches on the site, so you can find them again. Kept until you close the tab and never sent to us.
  • skale_tack: a summary of what you sent in a form, shown on the thank-you page. Kept until you close the tab.

Both are needed for features you use yourself, so they don’t require consent.

4. Change or withdraw your choice

You can change your settings at any time, here or via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we remove Google’s cookies for whatever you’ve said no to.

You can also delete cookies directly in your browser settings.
